About polyXonic producers myth of comercial music. (From Interview @ rave.cz)

When the music is good, it gets into the subconscious of listeners even without large investments into advetisement, the name and PR. It can take longer, but even with smaller "donations", the track can become a hit. It just takes longer.

For an example, we could state High Contrast. We never heard about him from Leos Mares (a Czech pop guy) or anybody else from the pop scene, but as his single was so requested in radios and clubs, as time passed we too learned about his tracks. Any music can become popular, any music which is supported by money. But to people, who accept music like this, it is the image that matters and not the music, the art in it.


And how can something like the opposite of pop look like by your opinion?
We thing that the opposite of pop does not exist! Its about the level of the "artificial" success. We would very much like to state an artist or style of music, which would represent the "opposite of pop", but we think that nobody or nothing like that exists. We think that its just a myth.

Moreover, sometimes a great artist and a BIG publisher come together and work together to make the music great and advertisment even bigger. And when that happens, its the best that can be :)
